Meet the 130th Commander
Greetings,
I'm Capt David (Dave) Sublette. I assumed command of the 130th on May 21, 2019. Before that I was Deputy Commander for Seniors for many years. In addition, during my 6 year tenure with Civil Air Patrol, I have also been a Public Affairs Officer, Recruiting and Retention Officer, and Unit Webmaster.
I was born in Omaha, Nebraska and it seems like I have been on the move ever since. I lived in Iowa, California, Minnesota, South Carolina, Colorado, and Arizona all before I joined the United States Air Force. I served 20 years on active duty and saw many more locations including: South Korea, Kuwait, Nevada, Alaska, Florida, New Mexico and few more years back in Arizona. While in the Air Force I worked in a few unique career fields including: Aircraft Armament Systems (F-16s and A-10s), Weapons Systems Field Training (A-10s), and Mission Readiness.
After retiring as a Master Sergeant from the Air Force in 2012, I moved back to Minnesota and started my second career in construction safety and also started my CAP career when joined the 130th Composite Squadron with my cadets. I live in New Market Township with my wife, kids, and dogs.
Please feel free to reach me any time at 520-400-4216 or djsub1973@gmail.com
